


There's no release date for any of this yet, but the update is scheduled to come to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Switch "soon". Additionally, Bethesda has confirmed that the well-regarded No Rest for the Living expansion will be making its way to Doom 2. Fans will also be able to download TnT: Evilution and The Plutonia Experiment, both of which formed the 32-level commercial release Final Doom back in 1996.Īll three add-ons will be free to download and will be available for both Doom and Doom 2 on consoles. One of those free add-ons will be Sigil - which launched in May, and consists of nine new single-player stages and nine new deathmatch levels - but Bethesda has a few more notable offerings lined up too.

The really exciting stuff, though, comes in the form of free community created WADS, which will appear in a curated Add-ons menu soon. The news comes via Bethesda's Doom anniversary livestream (skip to the 47-minute mark below), which began the Doom port info blow-out with word that an upcoming patch will introduce a locked 60fps and aspect ratio options.
